2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD Coming with 36,000 Pounds Towing Capacity

The earlier models of Chevrolet Silverado HD have the best in class towing capacity and now GM has updated it to tow more. Yes, you have heard right; the new Silverado can tow even heavier than last year.

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD can tow 36,000 pounds which is 500 pounds more than its predecessor. Must be wondering how this happened because it looks similar; Chevy said that by making changes in hardware to suspension and packaging changes to wheels all this happened. Not only the towing capacity is upgraded GM added several features this year.

A trailer length indicator is added to assist in lane changing, a jackknife alert to notify the alert to driver that the trailer can jackknife into the truck and cargo bed view enhancement which makes it easier to align and hook up a fifth-wheel trailer.

The new Silverado HD will also come in special editions; these are the blacked-out Midnight edition, the Z71 Sport Edition, the Z71 chrome sport edition, and the Carhartt Edition that comes with all-weather floor liners with the Carhartt badge into it, the Carhartt pinstripes on the mosaic black metallic paint, black and Carhartt brown interior with Carhartt badging on doors and tailgate.

The pricing is also increased by $100 on all trims of Silverado HD. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD starts at $36,295 and 3500 HD starts at $37,495. Production has begun in September and it will reach in dealerships by this fall.
