2021 Dodge Durango

2021 Dodge Durango

The 2020 model year is the end of the Dodge Journey Crossover SUV and Dodge Grand Caravan Minivan so only Dodge Durango has left for a family hauler and its update will attract buyers. The big family SUV Dodge Durango has changed for 2021 models that were much needed to it the change is not new but it is improved. It has also added a new trim i.e. 710 horsepower SRT Hellcat model in this year line-up.  All the trims i.e. SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT 392 models all are getting new looks, upgrades in the cabin, and new technology.

What we have heard is that it is getting styling from the Charger Widebody. The elements that have been taken from Charger are front fascia, LED headlights and running lights, hood, grille, and rear spoiler. You will be seeing three different grille textures in the whole line up; the Hellcat has gloss black larger opening for cooling, SRT 392, R/T and GT models have honeycomb grille in black and the Citadel and SXT models have Granite Crystal grille.

One most exciting thing is there are six different options for 20-inch wheels that have options from silver to satin carbon and full black. SRT hellcat has so many options like Black with red accents, Bright blue, Flame Red, Gunmetal Low gloss, and steering silver; wheels are wrapped in all-season rubber and high performance is available. The GT, R/T, and SRT 392 have dual-center stripe options available.

Its interior has got a nice update; it has a new instrumental panel, roomier center console, and 10.1-inch touch screen display, for the models SXT and GT 8.4-inch is standard. Both come with Uconnect 5 infotainment system i.e. the latest one with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto and Apple car play compatibility, buttons for climate control, and a wireless charging pad under roomier center console storage.

Apart from the supercharged 6.2L V8 that powers 710 horsepower SRT Hellcat model three other engine options are there: 475 horsepower 6.4L V8 for SRT 392 model, 360 horsepower 5.7L Hemi V8 available on Citadel and R/T models, and 295 horsepower 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine for SXT, GT, and Citadel models. A Tow N Go package on R/T models enables two up to 8,700 pounds so if you are looking for a towing option this is best.

2021 Dodge Durango is available for booking and will arrive in late 2020. The Hellcat will be arriving in early 2021. Pricing that is expected is:

  • $32,000 for SXT
  • $36,000 for GT
  • $42,000 for Citadel
  • $45,000 for R/T
