After a long wait for Genesis crossover GV70 finally, the automaker has revealed the photos. While Genesis hasn’t announced any details but by looking at the photos, we got some details to share.
The GV70 has adopted this look from its siblings GV80 and G80, and the G70’s sedan 2022 refreshed looks also have similar LED headlights and taillights, crest grille, and a swage line that starts from the hood and falls back toward the taillights. It will use the same platform as G70 that is it will have the standard rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive as an option.
Inside it, the oval shape is carried through the dashboard, the steering wheel has a football-shaped steering wheel as GV80. A huge touchscreen infotainment display is on the top of the dash and can be controlled through the center console.
The GV70 you see in photos the silver and purple are the base model of GV70; yes, we are amazed by looking at the interior of base mode. Genesis also shared the photos of GV70 sport in red which has a unique front bumper design, larger air intakes, 21-inch wheels, and different rear bumper. In the interior of Sport, it gets a common steering wheel, microsuede upholstery, and carbon-fiber trim.
The compact GV70 will be a five-seater with two rows and the GV80 offers an optional third row. No powertrains details have been shared but we expect that it will offer a turbocharged 2.5 L four-cylinder in the base and more powerful 3.5 L V6 in Sports same as GV80. More details about specifications and pricing will come soon.
The 2020 Genesis GV70 will go on sale first in South Korea by the end of the year and it will come to the U.S. in 2021. The price that we are expecting from Genesis is close to $40,000.
