Maserati announced project Rekall concept

Maserati the Italian automaker shared a concept called Project Rekall based on it Shamal sports. The Shamal was a Maserati car that was not so popular and sold in extremely low numbers but it seems Maserati is giving it one more chance with modern tech and modification.

Just to remind you, Shamal was a boxy coupe based on the Marcello Gandini design, powered by 3.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and existed from 1990 to 1996. Maserati uses Instagram to reveal this concept which is a collection of sketches rather than the actual car that creates confusion that Maserati is planning to build it or more accurately it’s something that can be built under automakers Fuoriserie customization program. Whatever it is great for customers looking for a coupe with some 90’s touch.

Looking up to this, it shows the same body lines and boxed fender flares like the original Shamal expect the modern-looking exterior lights, star wheels, front bumper, and thin roof-mounted wing. Inside it, the cabin is similar to the modern digital gauge cluster and bucking seats. If it gets manual transmission it will be a whole pack of nostalgic vibes. Powertrain details are not revealed and we have to wait for the Maserati to reveal the actual car then we can see what is change and what is new.
